PT: Day 9 (upper body) (but im injured)

Today was a whirlwind of crazy stuff happening tbh. Maybe not really, but it felt that way. Yesterday night i was reading through my blog and realized how i have kept my strength weirdly enough. 

Today i did:

  • Treadmill 5 minute 5 incline 5kmh / 5 minute 5.5 incline, 5.5kmh
  • LAT pulldowns 3x12
  • ??????? 3x?
  • ??????? 3x?
  • ??????? 3x?
  • Russian Twists 8kg 3x10
  • Adductors 3x12 (25kg)

So last night before i went to bed i read through this blog a little bit to see how i started and it is pretty insane how i have kept my strength since last year. It took me some time to build up from 30kg to go to 60kg on the leg press, but now i almost instantly could do 60kg. I have also realized how dumb normies train by just doing the same weight constantly. Since i mainly build my strength by going up in weight during my sets. My PT constantly says that it is better to do more weight next time. That's obviously not how i like to train in the gym, but i digress.

Today i got out of bed and started getting ready for the gym. Just when i was about the get dressed i got a message from my roommate that our music practice space is possibly going to close, so i started mailing and contacting people to see what could be done. I send out some emails and other stuff and conversed with the owner of the place so let's see what can be done... all we can do is wait.

I then got dressed and did some warm ups and felt a muscle in my left shoulder that felt kind of stiff... like i pulled it or something. Maybe i slept weird i don't know. I was kind of annoyed cause today is upper body day but eh...

I looked it up and it seems to be this muscle

(edit: it is not that muscle btw. those muscles are on the back of your arm. the muscle that hurts for me as at the front directly where the armpit starts, but not entirely in the armpit. i just checked and i think it is the thin part of the Pectoralis Major muscle)

(edit edit: what is also funny is that when i asked my PT what it could be or what i could do he was like "idk i think it is your bicep and idk what you can do i am not a physical therapist" LOL)

I then went to the gym. I was there at exactly 02.15PM (i wanted to be there at 2PM but eh) and my PT was already there. I was honestly a bit disappointed cause that meant we werent going on the elliptical (i prefer doing that alone cause i go hard and sweat hard lol) so uphill walking it is... we did the same round of workouts we did last time and i was really struggling today. I felt like i could finish everything with my right arm, but my left one really wasn't working with me and i guess it was because of that muscle. I will look up some stretches or whatever tomorrow. It's very unpleasant. I wonder if dead hangs will help? At the end i also did some adductors because i wanted to train those for squats, since i realized they really helped with doing squats.

After the gym i walked my dog and when i was finally home the practice space guy send me some documents that he apparently send to the municipality some time ago and they didn't respond. I could immediately tell it was probably because it was full of grammar mistakes and it was horribly optimized so i rewrote everything for him (with the help of AI) and did some formatting. I don't know how long it took me, but i just wanted to get it done. Once i was done with that i did the dishes and i made some veggie nuggets with a protein shake.

At that point my roommate was already home and apparently one of my favorite bands from the early '00 will come to a festival near me next year and i felt so many different emotions: sad, anxious, and disappointed that our music practice space might close, but also happy, joyful, and energetic over the fact that I WILL SEE ONE OF MY FAVORITE BANDS EVER. I still can't entirely believe it. I also think i will get my period this weekend lol.

I then took a shower and ate dinner and hung out with my roommate for a bit. And that was kind of my day. I guess it wasn't too crazy...

Tomorrow i will do bodyweight squats again. I also kind of want to do abs! I also have an appointment tomorrow (luckily it is earlier in the afternoon) and i have to do some grocery shopping tomorrow bleh.
