Today was leg day again and i had like 0 energy. We were supposed to do the smith machine squats today, but it didn't go well and now i am annoyed. They are also "restructuring" the gym to create more space and maybe get more machines. I need to message them about getting a hack squat machine lol. My arms still hurt from Tuesday lol.
- 10 minutes treadmill (5 hill, 5km/h)
- 1x6 smith machine, 2.5kg
- 3x12 abductors, 35kg
- 1x12 leg press, 60kg - 2x12, 50kg
- 3x12 leg curl, 22.5kg
- 4x8 leg extension, 25kg
So, i was late again. I am supposed to be there 15 minutes early so i can do cardio on my own but i always manage to be there at exactly the time the dude arrives and it is annoying me. I was hoping that he would be more strict since he said discipline is important for him on his profile, but he just kindly suggests it. I appreciate his kindness but i need someone to be mean to me sometimes i don't know. Maybe it is me who is mean to myself.
Today i felt very tired. My body didn't feel as strong. I could immediately tell when we were doing cardio. I think it's because i am used to doing leg day twice a week and this is the first time that i didn't. I felt so out of shape. It might also be because of other stuff i don't know. So it is important that i get to the gym on Monday at least to do cardio and then maybe leg day at home.
I tried the smith machine today and i fucking hate it lol. It is really odd and i don't like it. But what went wrong was something else. I had this problem some time ago also. I did my squats on the smith machine and it went alright. I pulled off 6 of them. Then when i went in for my second round of reps the muscle in the back of my leg (hamstring?) HURT. So i immediately quit. I had this problem not long ago as well. I quit working out and then i started again out of nowhere and when i did my squat the first reps were fine but then for the second one i started dying. I couldn't continue working out. I couldn't do any of my other workouts either. It sucked!!! I thought now it would be different cause i have been going to the gym for like 4 weeks, but apparently it doesn't matter. The squat is just different. So i really want to build that up at home again. I just don't like how long it takes to do workouts at home so maybe i will build it up. Maybe i'll do the 5x5 again, because i am pretty sure that's how i started. I would use low weights or body weights and do 5x5. I then build it up to having my own routine with just the dumbbell. And then i bought my barbell. So i think i will do:
- 5x5 bodyweight squats
- 5x5 romanian dead lifts (6kg)
- 5x5 band kickbacks
